Rimmel's Lasting Finish 25hour Foundation
I am in love with this foundation!
I used to use Maybeline's Dream Matte Mouse in 004 - light porcelain, but it used to feel chalky and the coverage was quite poor. I oped for a liquid, or at least, cream foundation with a heavy coverage. On my weekly retail therapy, I snuck into Superdrug. Hi, I'm Stevie and I'm a cosmetic addict.
Because I was at school, I couldn't really reapply makeup, so I wanted a long lasting one; I was sick of going home with just patches of makeup still left on and the rest rubbed off. Looking through all the product makes : Maybeline, Gosh, Barry M, L'oreal etc. I didn't find one that would last all day except Maybeline's Super Stay 24h. I looked at the colours and the testers & none of them matched my skin tone - great!
I had a look at Rimmel's corner and I noticed this foundation, I tested the lightest one and it matched the skin tone on the back of my hand so I bought it. It wasn't a bad price, either - £6.99. So, I tried it the next day. I noticed it was actually a little too dark for my face, but it was actually the lightest Rimmel do - 100 Ivory. I stuck it out, blended it down my neck and set it with powder, it worked!
I came home, looked in the mirror and noticed that my make-up hadn'y moved at all! It was all still there! I've used this product for weeks now and I've noticed it does what it promises - it's lightweight. Sometimes when I wear my makeup, I can feel it, it feels heavy and cakey - even if it doesn't look like it.
I went to a family do one night, after going to school all day & I had to be out the door by 4'o'clock! I didn't have time to reapply my makeup, so I just hoped for the best, I did have my blotting sheets & loose powder, thankfully! But as you do with your elders, you kiss them on the cheek, I noticed, my makeup didn't just stay all day, it stayed all night too! It's definitely transfer-proof!
It also doesn't contain SPF and therefore wouldn't be a good idea to wear alone during a hot day, but I live in Britain and don't need to worry about it. When a foundation has SPF, the flash in a camera would be a bright light, making the foundation reflect it. This foundation will look beautiful in photos!
This product is fantastic - heavy coverage and no false advertising!
